How About Two People Running For President As A Team?
Here’s a thought: What if a candidate picked his or her running mate in advance? One would be president, the other would be vice president but they would run as a team. So you would get the best of both, each with a clearly defined areas of responsibility, working together for the good of the country. Isn’t that what its all about?
When I heard that Uncle Joe Biden and Senator Elizabeth Warren were having informal talks this weekend, I got to thinking, what if they ran together? Who would be the president and could they put aside their egos?
Would that be legal or even possible?
The 2016 race is still ridiculously far off but it’s already creating a lot of hoopla and it’s not all Donald Trump. Trump and Bernie Sanders generally represent opposites on the political spectrum and that’s a good thing. If nothing else, they will stir the pot and I think that’s a good thing at this stage. Maybe another question would be, can any “outsider” candidate get by the status quo?
I sure don’t have all the answers—what do you think?

Excellent blog! And you are 100% correct – Trump and Bernie are stirring up the pot real good! In my opinion though, it’s all kabuki theater unless the Donald goes independent….Both parties know that they have not served the peoples’ interests since 2000…and the american people are really really angry…If the Donald goes independent (which I think he will) both the republican and democratic parties will have BIG headaches…Trump will expand his brand by being the 3rd person on the presidential debate stage (3 presidential debates) as he bashes both parties relentlessly…and deservedly so…And, let us not forget…Ross Perot got 19.7% percent of the vote in 1992…In the Donald’s eyes, if he can increase that to 34% percent…he might actually become president..I don’t know if that is a good or bad thing…but…what I do know is that the Donald has been planning this move his whole life….It’s going to be a real interesting!!!!
I have heard stories of Trump seeking out Oprah as his VP—-now were talking!!! But that idea should not be such a stretch—two can work better than one—the job is too big for one person these days.
