So It’s Almost 2014, Now What?

December 31, 2013

Happy New Year 2014Wow, what a year!  2013 has seen its share of turmoil and change—some good, some bad.  It was the year of the selfie and the twerk, of Boston Strong and Obamacare, of sequestration and gridlock, of Breaking Bad and Walking Dead, of Duck Dynasty and Paula Dean, of Nelson Mandela and George Zimmerman, of Pope Francis and Edward Snowden.  Through it all we laughed and we cried but we survived with the knowledge that things will get better in due time!  Now it’s time to wipe the slate clean and welcome a new year.

But before I wish you a Happy New Year, please take a minute to think about what you can do for others right now to move forward.

The last thing we like to think of is year end tax strategies (Oh Boy!).  Seriously, your dollars go a long way when you contribute to organizations like Pledge4Patriots since it’s a certified 501C3 tax exempt non profit. You get a break including a tax receipt and the non profit gets support for its cause. Whatever your charity, time is short—you have just a few hours for deductions on your 2013 tax return so GO FOR IT!!

Squirrel Go For ItThank you and may God bless the New Year!
